&lt;p&gt;The picture is probably going to wind up being my test zone btw, but thats the look of the game right now, so it wont be in game, my testing zone will probably wind up being a series of 2-3 areas connected that i can travel thorough to test aspects of the game, (items management, battle frequency, path finding, ect.)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also dont worry about the Squares all over the screen, I took the Screen shot on the Event layer.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The alternative is i can pay someone to make them, but I don&amp;#8217;t wanna have to pay someone because I don&amp;#8217;t plan on selling it, I don&amp;#8217;t think you can even sell games made with 2k3. I would not mind selling the game (don&amp;#8217;t want to tho, rather it be a free thing), but to sell it i would have to buy VX or XP, 2k3 is a freeware program.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What do you guys think?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I might be scraping what i have due to everywhere I looked you cant change the fact that you cant access the inventory in mid battle. Also several other things that are irritating me, like so self switches, Like i wanted to make a Zombie rush, where Zombie avatars are actually moving around and stuff and if they touch you it becomes combat then the avatar goes back to where it spawnd and continues, giving the feeling of a hoard of zombies. the only way i could find to do this is with switches, but that would be ALOT of switches, each monster would have its own switch plus each chest would have its own switch, and each event in game would also have it own, making millions of switches to keep track of&amp;#8230; where as XP and VX have self switches, there just like normal switches, but there dedicated to just that item.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also the lack of scripting, I do kind of wanna use it. I am going to wait and do some more research before i make my decision, i do like 2k3 a lot, it comes standard with a lot of options that does not need scripting, but its a bit dated.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;The player can use both Guns and/or melee (one at a time), there will be at least 10-20  different guns and about 10-15 types of ammo (different round sized,  30-06, 9mm, 10mm, ect.) (some guns will use the same ammo) (if the  different ammo if not possible then I guess I&amp;#8217;ll make due) some guns like  a pistol will only use 1 round, but an smg will use 2-5 with decreased  chance to hit. If the proper amount and proper ammo is not in the  players inventory, they will be paralyzed until end of the turn (them  pulling the trigger then realizing there out of ammo) making them have  to pay attention to there ammo count.Also gun will have a less chance to hit across the board.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;They can also equip a melee  weapon instead of a gun (I&amp;#8217;m hoping to have 40-50 types of melee weps), these will be WAY more common, ammo will be rare. Every time  they use it, there is a chance the weapon will break (I dont really want  it a set # for each weapon, I want it more of a risk/reward) melee weps  will have a much higher chance to hit then guns, but do about half as  much damage.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;I also would like to have a head shot option for Zombies  (preferably just for Zombies) that has a very low chance to hit but will  insta-kill any zombie, or rather then a very low chance, make it a  moderate chance but having to charge for 2 turns where they cant do  anything just aim (or make it 1 turn but if hit, it breaks there aim)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;I  also would like to limit the amount of inventory the players can hold.  in my game im going to a sense of survival, making them have to weigh,  do they wanna carry this extra weapon, this food (food will probably just  be health), of this unknown key that may or may not really be for  anything.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Also a way to make descriptions longer for weps, like you get the normal small one when its highlighted, but if you select it, you can get a much larger description.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;Im looking into how to do these, I don&amp;#8217;t even know if there possible, but I&amp;#8217;m looking.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;For now that&amp;#8217;s all I&amp;#8217;m needing to know as of now.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;What I&amp;#8217;m assuming needs to be done is (I made a test game for this in case I screw things up) make a common event, have it 1st check for the type of ammo then have it branch, if the appropriate ammo is in the inventory allow the attack, if there in no ammo of the specific type, then cause a paralyze attack on the player that is removed at the end of the turn (That is your player pulling the trigger and nothing happening, causing you to keep track of your ammo). Then i can go into the battle setup and when attack with X wep remove 1 (or how ever many the gun uses, like smg&amp;#8217;s will probably use 3 at a time or something) of Y ammo.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As for melee weapon being able to break. no idea, someone on that forum told me to pretty much do the same thing as the guns, but set a variable every time it is used, every time that wep is used take 1 away, when it hits 0 the wep is removed telling the player it broke&amp;#8230; I&amp;#8217;m hoping I can find a tutorial on this, because it sounds complicated&amp;#8230; I also wanna add something that makes items weigh something, or limited item space. I&amp;#8217;m going for a sense of survival, where you are going to have 7-8 weapons at a time, because one might break. &lt;p&gt;There is one thing that&amp;#8217;s pissing me off tho. I cant seem to figure out how to rename the money&amp;#8230; I want it called Salvage, it even says under the string area (X)(Currency unit)(Y) , implying I can change the Currency unit, but ether I&amp;#8217;m blind and cant see it, or its not there.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also right now I&amp;#8217;m looking for people that can do pixel art for me, because I&amp;#8217;m terrible at it, if I cant find anyone then ill probably use ones I find online and just put the creators name in the credits, that&amp;#8217;s what I&amp;#8217;m doing with the chipsets/tilesets I&amp;#8217;m using and the 4 weapon sets I have.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Right now I&amp;#8217;m probably going to start making creatures and tweak the damage of items and stuff, that&amp;#8217;s probably going to take a long time. I want the damage system so be like 1-3 damage at the start, then later levels your doing 50-80 damage, something like that, but I will start to tinker with it, and see what to do.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There are a few things I don&amp;#8217;t like about 2k3, I didn&amp;#8217;t know there is no scripting in it, even tho I said I wanted to veer away from scripting, I would still like to use it, but its not that big of a deal.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Tho I cant figure out how to name switches, that is irritating me.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There are a few more things, can&amp;#8217;t recall them tho. I wanted to keep most of it a secret until i got more together but here&amp;#8217;s what i got&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Right now its in planning stages, I dont have much story, just a rough plot, I started with the idea yesterday.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As for weps:provided I can get it like this in 2k3&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Going to be primarily guns, heavy item based (different rounds and stuff) and there will be melee, but guns will be ore effective. What im hoping to do, is you equip a gun of some kind, and every use of it, uses a round or 2 (or more on SMGs and stuff) but do alot of damage, but ammo will be rare, but melee weps will be more common but can break&amp;#8230;. that&amp;#8217;s what im shooting for&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As for story: This is all subject to change, but what I have now is this.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Humanity started messing with a way to stop the aging process to overcome humanities biggest fear our own mortality. Something goes wrong and and the vaccine kills the host and revives the corpse (Zombies). Humanity continues to make these Zombies for testing, due to if its injected into a fresh corpse (less then an hour dead) it will revive them as undead. humanity thinking this was a step closer to there goal, continues this, but keeping the undead contained. Undisclosed ways, an &amp;#8220;Accident&amp;#8221; happens, and the Zombies are let loose, the outbreak spreads quick, faster then humanity can stop it, after a few years the outbreak turns into a lvl 4 outbreak, zombies pushing humanity to near extinction.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You will be part of a settlement trying to survive, the game will start off with you having to get food and water with a small team of people (you and 1 or 2 people).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Due to bombings and humanities attempts and stopping/containing the outbreak, many creatures will have mutated giving more creatures to fight.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Sometime during the course of game play, AI might be created (not sure if i wanna include this tho, just a thought) to assist humanity in pushing back, the AI might go Sentient at some point, and see humanity as a thread to its own existence (by seeing humans do something horrid, videos of humans trying to contain the infection early war or something, and turn on humanity.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Might toy with the idea of Aliens too, don&amp;#8217;t know yet.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;That&amp;#8217;s what I got so far&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;No title yet, cant think of one that fits that says what I want it to yet, no names for the protagonist yet.&lt;/p&gt;
